In Loving Memory of Floyd "Bird" Sims
Donation protected
On February 27th, 21-year-old Floyd "Bird" Sims was tragically taken from us far too soon. His passing has left his family, friends, and community heartbroken.
Bird was a remarkable young man—kind, caring, and always willing to help others. His mother, Melody, shared that he was always someone who tried to support those around him. He spent his youth playing football in Ambridge before continuing at Aliquippa High School, where he won a championship that led him to play in college in North Carolina. He had recently returned home, started working again, and was preparing to take the next steps in building his future.
As Melody shared:
"Beyond football, Floyd was known for his love of good food, video games, and music—his booming speakers could shake the whole house! He had a special connection with kids, who always asked, ‘Where’s Bird?’ because he brought so much joy into their lives."
Many have asked how they can show support and honor Floyd’s memory. This fundraiser has been created as a way to do just that. Contributions will help celebrate his life and assist his family as they navigate this unexpected loss. Any support—whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser—means so much.
Floyd touched so many lives, and his spirit will always be remembered.
Thank you for helping.
