In loving memory of Gene Ledbetter

We lost Gene too soon to Covid on Tuesday the 23rd leaving behind his friends and loved ones. Gene was what I call a "total dude". He loved fishing, hiking, hunting, and firearms. Gene's kindness couldn't be overshadowed  his total dudeness. During quarantine Gene's devotion to my parents showed with months of grocery store trips just to keep them safe.  We didn't always see eye-to-eye when it came to politics, but it sure was fun "discussing" our differences. Every family get together or camping trip we would play Cards Against Humanity and Gene would laugh the loudest at the crazy card combos. Gene had a special bond with our little Hazelnut from the first day they met. His last words were "keep our family together". Gene's love for my sister, Marti, burned bright. I only wish Marti had more time with him.
