In Loving Memory of Gerard Kearney Jr.

It is heartbreaking to have to create this campaign. My name is Keith Atherholt; I am one of Gerard Kearney Jr's (Gerry Jr.) closest friends. With great sorrow, I must inform everyone that Gerard Jr. passed away on Tuesday, 11/15/22. He was only 45 years old. All signs are pointing to him suffering a massive heart attack. Everyone who knew Gerry Jr. knew he had a larger-than-life personality. He was one of the most generous and kind-hearted people you could ever meet. His whole family, especially his mother Anita and his departed father Gerry Sr. were notorious for helping people out. The Kearney house on Thanksgiving and Christmas was always filled with people who were down and out and had nowhere to go. The Kearneys made everyone feel like family, including me. Gerry Jr. leaves behind two young sons. Justin 13 and Gerard 20. Obviously, these boys are reeling from the sudden tragic loss of their father. As many of you know, they also lost their Grandfather not too long ago, in 2019. The beautiful Kearney family has taken some heavy losses over the past few years. But losing Gerry Jr. at 45 years old is just unfair to these young men. So I am asking people, if you can please donate to this campaign. All money raised is going directly to Gerry's sons, Gerard and Justin, to help with whatever hardships they might face in the near future from losing their dad. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all very much in advance for your kindness. The Kearneys wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.

I know a vast majority of Gerry's friends are in the Bay Ridge Brooklyn area, and it will be difficult for people to attend. If you can make it, please come, but if you cant, Anita and the boys understand completely.
