Gilberto Lopez passed away on Monday, December 26th after a long battle with CHF (Congestive Heart Failure). He was 44 years old. He is survived by his loving wife Antonia, his 6 kids Rebecca, Gilbert Jr., Bianca, Alex, Sarah and Anthony- his mother, his sisters, and his brother.
Gilberto was beyond special, he had a contagious laugh, and the most hilarious jokes and remarks. He was always so positive and full of strength. Gilberto was a loving and devoted father, his children were his motivation to keep fighting daily and give them the best he could.
He loved soccer, he dedicated six years to coaching kids in Palmdale, to help keep kids out of trouble. It was his passion to help kids do good and stay out of trouble. He created the best soccer team in Palmdale, known as the Dirt Devils. This team was his pride and joy.
Gilberto was a great and loyal friend. It was so easy for him to become family and to some even a father figure. He always gave everything he could, and he always made sure that everyone was okay.
To say that Gilberto will be missed is a huge understatement.
In light of his passing, we kindly ask that you help support his family at this most difficult time as they transition to a life without Gilberto. This will help them cover funeral expenses, medical expenses, and help with anything his family will need.
Funeral arrangements are underway and more details will be shared with everyone who would like to celebrate this wonderful person's life.
On behalf of his family and friends, thank you. Your support and well wishes have been nothing short of amazing.
