Half Marathon in memory of Grace O'Malley Kumar

A group of us are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 8th 2023 to raise money in loving memory of Grace O’Malley Kumar.

Grace tragically lost her life on the 13th of June 2023 in an attack in Nottingham. She was simply walking home after a night out with friends after celebrating end-of-year medical school exams. Grace was loved endlessly by all and everything she gave to the world in her 19 short years will not be forgotten.

She leaves behind devastated and heartbroken family and friends and we all feel compelled that something good must come from the loss of her life.

Family and friends alike are all so incredibly proud of her achievements. She was so happy in life, resilient and wise beyond her years and wholly committed to her ambition of studying to become a doctor whilst playing topflight hockey at the University of Nottingham. Grace was kind, strong-willed, inclusive, determined and compassionate. A beautiful human being, both inside and out.

In time, an official 'Grace O'Malley-Kumar Foundation' will be set up to create a lasting legacy and donations will be used to further the causes that Grace supported. We know from her selfless nature, that she would want someone or something to benefit from your gift of kindness and love.

Whilst the finer details of the foundation are being established, we would be grateful if you could help keep Grace’s memory alive by donating to this fund. All monies donated in support of our efforts will be fully forwarded to the foundation once it has been set up.
