In Loving Memory of Hannah and David Lee
Donation protected
If you knew my cousin, David Lee, you’ll agree that he was the embodiment of all that many of us hoped to be: the life of the party, fearless in social situations, intelligent, witty, confident in his abilities yet empathetic and encouraging to others. A truly larger-than-life personality. I’m sure this is why it’s shocking to hear that he passed away from internal bleeding complications on the weekend of February 4th, 2023. It’s shocking to us all.
For those who don’t know, my aunt, Hannah Lee, has been battling cancer for quite some time. She is a fighter. She has been her whole life. And she fought her illness with courage, dignity, and her trademark smile. But on Monday, February 6th, 2023, her fight ended and she peacefully went to be with our Heavenly Father.
They believed in the gospel good news of Jesus Christ so we know we will see them again, but until then, our family has been shaken to our core and we do not know how to grieve such a massive loss. There is no playbook for this. For this reason, I’ve been granted permission from my cousin, Minah Lee - Aunt Hannah’s daughter and David’s younger sister - to start this GoFundMe page. We recognize that you, too, probably don’t know how to grieve this loss as well. We are not necessarily looking for charity, nor are we in a financial crisis, but we believe that spaces like this can be helpful for the grieving process, especially for those who may not be able to attend the funeral service. So we are opening this GoFundMe with the hopes that you can process your grief with us. We are grateful for any monetary donations to offset funeral expenses, and we are equally grateful for any and every corresponding message of condolence you wish to leave.
On behalf of my cousin, Minah, Aunt Hannah and Cousin David will be dearly missed. Beloved brother, mother, sister, son, uncle, cousin, aunt, friend...we will always love you.
