The journey of battling cancer came to an end & I wish to share the last moments of his story; a testimony to his patience.

On the night of 24th June within the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, hours prior to his passing. My brother requested to be visited by a Muslim Chaplin for the purposes of Quranic recitation to be heard, upon arranging this, he insisted to cleanse his impurities, therefore independently, maintaining his dignity; bathed & covered himself in sheets & towels eagerly awaiting the Imam.

A conversation sparked regarding the timeline of an human being whereby my brother articulately relayed a Hadith in respect his health & lifespan in acceptance of the Lord’s decree. Shortly after, we decided to pray Salat Al Maghrib in congregation, my brother insisted he prayed alongside us motioning the actions, that resulted in being his last movements glorifying his Lord.

We then enjoined in recitation, close family & friends sat by his bedside, witnessing him laying in comfort with the presence of his loved phasing his last breaths with ease whilst having recited the Shahada multiple times prior to taking his last breath without discomfort or struggle.
