Dear Friends & Family,

It is with sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing on of our mother, sister, friend and colleague Irene Wanjiku Njuguna after a short illness in Lewisburg, PA.

We are devastated to share the news that Irene passed away on Saturday, February 20th 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center.

Irene worked at Bucknell University catering for 15 years where she was loved tremendously.

She was a beacon of light and love and inspired everyone with who she came into contact with! Loved by all, she will be missed dearly.

Irene was the exact type of person this world needs more of. She had a larger than life personality and was great at making people laugh. She was a kind soul, a sincere woman, and could always be seen with a smile on her face, one that radiated. She made a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Heaven has truly gained a beautiful Angel.

Irene leaves behind her husband Peterson Njuguna, Daughter Evelyn Mwangi, Son Samuel Mwangi and a host of family members and friends!

Please consider making a monetary donation to assist her family as they navigate this sudden loss. Donations will go directly to her immediate family to help with additional end of life financial support for her beloved family.
