Celebrating Jackie Johnston: Funeral and Memorial Fund

My dear sister Jackie left us suddenly and far too soon due to complications from a recent surgery.

On Sat, Aug. 31st, Jackie was admitted to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg KS, after experiencing severe stomach pain. On Sunday, Sept 1st, she went into surgery to remedy the situation. During the surgery, there were several complications that resulted in Jackie being placed on a ventilator.

She would eventually be life flighted to KU Med, where doctors worked daily on improving her condition. Unfortunately, due to severity of her condition, she passed away at the young age of 44.

She was ours and your firecracker—full of energy, spirit, and a spark that couldn’t be contained. She was kind-hearted but never afraid to stand her ground, balancing warmth with an undeniable toughness. She was both precious and rough around the edges, someone whose genuine nature and raw strength made her one-of-a-kind. She could light up a room with her presence, fill up a room with her laugh, unpredictable yet fiercely loyal, always keeping you on your toes while making you feel loved and protected.

In honoring her memory, we want to give her the meaningful service and farewell she deserves. All proceeds will go to her funeral arrangements and memorial service. If you would like to contribute, your support would be greatly appreciated as we come together to celebrate her life.
