Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved daughter, mother, sister, auntie, and friend, Jacklyn Marie Reed. On October 9th, 2023, Jackie's life was cut short in an unfathomable act of violence in Hendersonville, NC.

As reported in the news article, this senseless act was a far overreaction, leaving us all in shock, denial, and disbelief. At only 30-years-old, Jackie's departure has left a void that cannot be filled.

Jackie was known for her warm nature, kind heart, and sweet, sweet soul. She was a beacon of light in the lives she encountered. She had a pure heart full of empathy that led her to always lend a helping hand to those in need.

Jackie was taken so soon and so tragically, leaving behind grieving parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and her young daughter.

We are reaching out to our community, both near and far, in the hopes of receiving support to give Jackie the farewell she deserves. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in alleviating the financial strain on our family.
