In loving memory of James Anthony Valladolid

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of my father, James Anthony Valladolid (January 26, 1945 - July 24, 2022). My father was a dedicated husband, devoted father, loving grandfather, and a proud Vietnam Veteran. His passing has left a huge void in all of our lives as things will never be the same for all of us. He is survived by his wife Maria, children Suzee, Mark, and Cindy, grandchildren Bug, Emi, David, Leony, Izzie, Alyssa, Mati, a new grandbaby on the way, and his best friend Al.
As some of you may know, my father was involved in an automobile accident pulling into the parking lot of the hospital where my mom had been since January. He was there to visit her as he did daily and offer his emotional support to his wife of 52 years. He experienced bleeding in his brain as a result of the accident, which required emergency surgery. We had such high hopes that he would be ok but he slowly began declining after surgery. It was heartbreaking seeing our father getting worse every day.
Because he was a Veteran, we contacted the VA Health System about getting him the best long-term care possible to aid in his recovery. Even though my father risked his life for his country and spent five decades dealing with ailments from direct agent orange exposure in Vietnam, the VA turned their back on my father when he needed them the most. Our family refused to let our father's health be decided by someone sitting behind a desk so we bypassed the VA and got him the best care we could without their help.
We are raising money to cover his memorial services. The medical bills are starting to pile up and any help we can get to help with his arrangements would be greatly appreciated.
