In Loving Memory of Jan Piper Funeral Fund
On March 18th 2020 at around 10 pm. My beautiful mother passed away. She was my best friend and my personal hero and I’m devastated to have lost her. She was a fighter in so many aspects of her life and the strongest person I’ve ever known. She loved with her whole heart and was always willing to help someone in need. She had a special spot in her heart for people struggling because she knew struggle well but no matter what she always kept her wonderful sense of humor and infectious positivity. Among many things she taught me and my brother to always find the bit of good in any bad situation and I hope I can pass that to my own children. Even when faced with the scariest medical diagnoses she kept that positive spirit all the way up to the end. The nurses at the long term hospital she was in, where she passed away, would always tell me how much they loved my mom and how sweet she was always having a smile for everyone even though she was struggling. She lived her whole life with a faith and grace that was remarkable. Nothing in the world can fill the hole she has left in our lives.
Unfortunately she was unable to get life insurance due to health and other circumstances so it is with a heavy heart that I’m asking people to donate to help me and my family and loved ones celebrate my mom in a way that’s fitting of her and that’s true to her life and wishes. I have never planned a funeral or anything and while I knew they were expensive but was still shocked to see how truly expensive it is and costs that are really unavoidable. We found a wonderful funeral home who is so kind and helpful. I know the goal amount is a large one and I don’t want anyone to feel obligated because absolutely anything helps. It was always hard for her to ask for help as she was always the helper and she has passed that trait down to me so this if very hard for me to have to do. I would more than appreciate anything anyone can give and any prayers or special memories anyone can share with me would also be appreciated beyond measure.
