In Loving Memory of Jason Omm: Support for Funeral and Kids

To family and friends,

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that our younger brother, Jason Omm, at just 30 years old, tragically took his own life on Friday, September 13th. While the exact reasons that led him to this moment remain unclear, we know that he had been fighting a long and painful battle with depression.

Jason had struggled with multiple suicide attempts in the past, and this time, his pain overcame him. The timing of his passing feels especially cruel, as we didn’t get the chance to fully support him or be there in his final moments.

Though Jason didn’t often open up about what he was going through, beneath his tough exterior, he was a deeply loving, caring, and emotional person. He adored his two children, Adelynn and Jayden, whom he thought about constantly and loved with all his heart.

Depression is a powerful, often misunderstood illness that can deeply affect a person’s life. It presents an ongoing challenge, and despite his strength and resilience, Jason felt overwhelmed by his struggle. In the end, he chose to end his life in an attempt to find peace and freedom from the relentless battle with his inner demons.

Our family is heartbroken and struggling to make sense of his loss, but we are determined to give him the farewell he deserves and provide some stability for his children.

We are raising money to cover Jason’s funeral expenses and to provide support for Adelynn and Jayden. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us ensure Jason has a proper farewell and that his children are cared for during this difficult time.

Some of the money will be used for funeral costs, and any additional funds will be put into a savings account for his children. This money will be made available to them when they reach the age of 18 (or an age when they are ready) to help support their future needs.
