In Loving Memory of Jason: Supporting Katie, Crosby, & Loch

Our community is reeling from the tragic loss of our dear friend Jason, who passed away in a car accident on April 16th. We are absolutely heartbroken, struggling to put into words the depth of our sadness and the shock of losing someone so full of life, love, and light that touched so many.

Jason wasn’t just a colleague — he was family. He had a rare gift for making people feel instantly comfortable, understood, and valued. His presence could turn a tough day around, and his compassion, quick wit, and authenticity left a mark on everyone who knew him. Nothing in life made Jason happier than talking about his two boys and Katie! He also had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures, whether it was carving down a mountain on his snowboard, enjoying a good cigar, or savoring a well-made old-fashioned.

His LinkedIn profile offered just a glimpse of the incredible man we knew: good human | security savant | dad | mentor | solution miner | mediator. But Jason was so much more than a title or a tagline. He was a soul that radiated warmth. A friend who always had your back. A dad who lit up when talking about his boys. And a guy who loved music with all his heart. Jason would want all of us to celebrate his life the way he celebrated life everyday!!

He was never afraid to jump on stage — not for attention, but to share his incredible talent and bring joy to everyone around him. Whether it was his voice, his guitar, or just the energy he brought to a room, Jason had a way of turning moments into memories. Music was one of his greatest gifts, and he used it to lift spirits, create connection, and make people smile. He didn’t just perform — he made people feel something real. That joy, that light, was pure Jason.

This sudden loss has left a tremendous void, especially for his beloved wife Katie, and their two precious children, Crosby and Lochlan.

As a community — his Hanwha family, his RLPSA family, the broader loss prevention industry, and the countless friends and peers who admired and loved him — we are coming together to support the people Jason loved most.
