In Loving Memory of Jay Tanha

Dear Family and Friends,

It hurts us to share the news that our beloved dad, Javad (Jay) suddenly passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

Our dad was a devoted husband to our mom (Alyce) and a proud father to myself (Tiana) and my sister Isabella.

We remember him as a protective and thoughtful dad that expressed his love in his food. His love went beyond our family, as he wanted to feed everyone that came into our home. He was a great storyteller- always making us laugh. As an immigrant from Iran, he faced many challenges. This only made him stronger, and from there, his life was full of endless adventures.

Our dad was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer in 2019 and went through multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Although he was undergoing health challenges, he was strong and resilient like a warrior.

He always said if he could have any superpower, it would be to fly, so he could be free like a bird. We truly believe he’s soaring above peacefully watching over us.

We feel so much gratitude from all of the heartfelt condolences and support during this difficult time for our family. In our time of grieving, we would appreciate any financial donations. Your generosity will contribute to our dad’s memorial service and medical expenses.
