In Loving Memory of Joan Jepngetich Rop

It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Joan Jepngetich Rop, daughter of Pius Kiprop Melly and Martha Melly. Joan was working towards getting her nursing degree at Carl Sandburg College and a former athlete at both Carl Sandburg and Iowa Central Community Colleges.

Joan tragically lost her life in a road accident on December 25, 2024, on Interstate 80 near Rock River, Rock Island County, Illinois.She was loving, kind, and always willing to help others. Her dedication to her dreams and her warm heart touched everyone who knew her.
