In Loving Memory of Joanne LeBlanc
Donation protected
The community of New Lowell has lost a beloved “mom”, “grandma “and cherished friend. Joanne Marie LeBlanc (nee Mathers) passed away at home at the age of 78.
Joanne thrived when she spent time with the children of the community. She volunteered countless hoursin her community especially at her local elementary school, New Lowell Central. Most recently she loved reading with several classes at the school and helping with the Breakfast Program. She worked as the Head Custodian at the school for 28 years. Joanne’s time at the school was not just a job, it was her passion. Virtually every student who passed through the doors either called her mom or grandma. She had a kind, loving and gentle soul and made them all feel special. She especially loved the underdogs and always offered them a listening ear and a big hug. She loved them all and they loved her back.
Our go fund me is intended as one more opportunity for Joanne to give back to the New Lowell Central Public School and the children whom she loved so dearly. All donations received will directly go to purchasing books to benefit the school's library. She truly believed in the value of literacy and wanted to help foster the love of reading to the children who gave her so much joy.
