In Loving Memory of Joe Shinn

Only one month after his 48th birthday, our beloved Joseph Shinn died suddenly at his home in Brea, California. He leaves behind his loving wife, Cindy, and their 3-year-old son, Jacob (he will turn four next month).  This GoFundMe campaign has been established to help Cindy and Jacob in their time of greatest need.

 

Joseph Villanueva Shinn was born in Zamboanga City, Philippines, son of Joseph and Nene. He was the youngest of three children, having two older sisters, Joyce and Janet. He spent his early years in Zamboanga before immigrating to the United States soon after he turned nine years old. His family first settled in Glendale and then later moved to Sun Valley.

 

Called “Joe” by his friends and “Junie” by his family, he was loved for his infectious laugh, bright smile, and cheerful disposition. Always affable, he was quick with a joke (even though they sometimes could have been funnier!) and made friends easily. His catchphrase perfectly captures him – “You’re a winner!”

 

He was a devoted husband to Cindy and a caring father to Jacob. On their behalf, we thank you for graciously considering making a donation to help.
