In loving memory of John Lee

My name is CJ and I have known John Lee for over 20 years. 

We both grew up in fountain hills as kids, so I’m writing this in hopes to help support the families with costs associated with losing a loved one. As well as making sure his son Sam is taken care of ….while also spreading awareness… as well as positive thoughts and prayers for a dear friend.

John Lee was always a tall sweet kid with a big Heart. I’m sad to say that over the weekend we lost someone who I know to be a good man and a great father. over the years I’ve witnessed such an incredible journey from this man. I watched him pick up his first 24 hour chip at a CA convention in Scottsdale, and then from there I got to watch from the sidelines as the miracle of recovery happened in his life. He had a heart of gold. I remember one day he reached out to me because he came across a dog that needed help. A small pitbull puppy that John took into his home knowing absolutely nothing about dogs.. He messaged me and said “ how often are you even supposed to feed these things” hahaha. And shortly after that I watched John household get a little bigger when his son Sam was introduced to the world . Watching John become a father and seeing the lengths he would go to in order to provide for his family was nothing short of inspiring. John was always a very funny person to be around. I remember he used to joke that his “lack of body hair made him ideal for peak performance as an Olympic swimmer Like Michael Phelps!” That was always his response when I would harass him about not being able to grow a beard. I think anybody who knows John knows that he had the most clever of comebacks in any scenario.

As a community it is important that we are able to come together for each other in times of tragedy and need, and offer help to families and those who are left behind to deal with the pain and suffering of losing a loved one. we Are all certainly going to miss you John Lee ❤️
