In Loving Memory of Jon McDaniel

Jonathon McDaniel, 25, passed away unexpectedly on 10/21/21. He grew up in my hometown of Marine City, Michigan. For those who were blessed enough to have met him, will remember him as a gentle soul, a dear friend, an artist, a lover not a fighter, one of the biggest jokers in the room, and a guardian/friend to all who needed it.

I count myself lucky to have known this man for more than half of my life. I consider myself the "third daughter" to Martha (mom) and a "sister" to Johnnie. I spent a great part of my childhood (3-4 days a week, at least) at the McDaniel household. It didn't matter how big their house was or that they did not have room for a fourth child (that pushed herself in), there was always a plate (or two) at dinner for me and always a little extra room on the couch.

The McDaniel family and Jon, himself, were always known for taking care of those around them, being friends to all, and supporting others in need. I would like to give those who have had the opportunity to know Jon or his family a chance to help in their time of need. Funds from this will go to support memorial costs. Any additional funds, will be set aside for his daughter, Ivy.
