In Loving Memory of Jonathan Chan

This is difficult to write.
 
On December 9th, 2020, our beloved Jonathan passed away peacefully to be with the Lord. Though we are heartbroken by this sudden loss, we take solace in knowing that he can finally come face to face with the Creator for whom he relentlessly dedicated his life to serve. 


It's hard to find words that capture exactly how much Jonathan meant to all of us, but if you were blessed to know him, you knew what an incredible soul he was. Through his faith, his kindness, his humor, his love, and his servant's heart, he brought people together and touched so many lives in his 39 years on this earth. His impact was immeasurable--as a mentor. A coworker. A jokester. An inspiration. A pastor. A dear friend. A brother. A son. A loving husband. A proud father. And perhaps most of all, a man devoted to God and to his family. 


He leaves behind his wife, Sarah, and his two boys--Jedidiah (3) and Elijah (1). This fund was created to help ease their financial burden during this difficult time, as they not only have to endure the shock and emotional pain of his sudden passing, but also unexpected medical expenses. As Jonathan was the sole breadwinner, we also hope that this fund will serve as continued support for Sarah and the kids--lightening some of their stresses and giving them space to grieve and process this devastating loss. 


On behalf of the Chan family, thank you to everyone for the continued prayers and support. They are deeply grateful for this community that God has placed in their lives, and that has showered Jonathan with so much love. He will be tremendously missed.
