In Loving Memory of Jorge L Perez
Final Expenses for Jorge Perez
May 3, 1984 - May 20, 2021
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Jorge L Perez. He unexpectedly passed away on May 20, 2021, after being hospitalized for COVID-19 complications. Jorge was a loving and caring brother, son, husband, and friend.
We keep the memory of the joy and laughter he brought into our lives. Jorge had a passion for music. Everyone that knew him, knew that he was an avid fan of Drum Corps International and spent years teaching marching bands about movement and performance. Many of his students and co-staff could attest to his gentle nature and good character. His friends called him “Coocs” or “CooCoo”, a loving nickname he was given while teaching band. He had an immense impact to many and will be remembered for how sweet of a person he was in life.
In addition to music, Jorge loved being around friends and family. He shared a love for Star Wars and Disney. You can describe him as a true kid at-heart and created wonderful memories as he immersed himself in those stories and engaged with others who shared that passion. But he can also be described as someone that took care of his own. Never forgetting his responsibilities and always showing up on time. (which means showing up early)
Jorge is at peace with his mother in Heaven. He left us too soon and will be sorely missed. It was an honor to call him a friend. He made that part easy by being extraordinarily approachable and down to earth. We can almost still hear his simple greeting of “Sup, bro” in his tender yet attentive voice. His wife, Mary, his family and friends have suffered this immeasurable loss. Jorge touched the lives of countless young people and spread love to his many nieces and nephews that he would treat as his own. Your help will truly be appreciated by those left with an unexpected cost for final expenses brought on by a terrible disease.
Thank you
