In Loving Memory of Jose Arellano
Donation protected
Jose Arellano, at 62 years of age, a loving, caring father, brother, grandpa, great grandpa and friend was admitted to the hospital on March 19,2020. Three days later, confirmation was received that the respiratory distress that he was under was due to his, then, confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19. His battle began-and so HE FOUGHT! He endured this disheartening virus for 44 long hard days. --It was then that he prevailed and defeated the virus itself. However, the toll it took on his body was far too much for him to conquer. The Lord called him home on May 9, 2020 at 5:11am. Day 51 ...The family received the devastating news that their Dad, Brother, Grandpa and Great Grandpa-Jose departed this earth and temporary home leaving behind countless loved ones.
He was a simple man, never wanted or needed for anything other than to be "present" in the lives of his loved ones. He was a sports enthusiast. He loved ALL sports-from Nascar, avid football fan both college and NFL, hockey, basketball-to the most precious and dear to him-the sports that his grand kids participated in. Whether it was softball, volleyball, power lifting, basketball, football, track and field or a band event...he was "present" and was their BIGGEST fan! I personally believe that Jose loved the sport itself-but more than that, he loved how sports united people; between coaches and players to teams and communities-and for him, it was family and friends. Sports to him meant the presence of his loved ones. It filled his cup! So now are gone of the days of him reaching out to get the family together to watch a televised sporting event, the text and calls to request the schedules of the kiddos upcoming sporting activity. But now, will forever be "present" both in spirit and in memory.
Jose will be desperately missed by all those that he met along the way. His smile and his sincere embrace had a way of immediately making you feel loved, welcomed and like one of his own. I have created this account for those who have so graciously reached out asking, how and what you can do to help. The financial obligations for his family remain uncertain at this time as restrictions and personal obligations are still being sought after. Your support is an extension of the bond and strength they could use at this time.
-No Donation is Too Small and Certainly No Prayer too Big!
I would like to thank you all, in advance, on behalf of the family.
