In Loving Memory Of Jose Siu

As many of you have already heard, my grandfather Jose Siu, unexpectedly passed away on 1/27/2021. We are heartbroken and devastated by this loss. On Saturday 01/16/20 he was taken to the ER due to a positive covid test and trouble breathing. He was admitted, for testing positive for pneumonia and low oxygen. His oxygen levels were not stable enough to discharge him. But he was stable enough to know and understand what was going on. He knew as soon as his levels were better, he was going to come home.

    

    That’s when things began to take a turn. On Sunday 1/24/2021 his oxygen level dropped suddenly and was put on another machine to push more oxygen but it ultimately did not work. Instead made him suffer even more. That is when everything began to go downhill. We received a call from his doctor on Monday 01/25/2021, unfortunately there was nothing else that they could do. The medicine and the oxygen were not helping. He essentially told us all they can do is help make him comfortable. 

     

     My grandmother, his wife was able to say her goodbyes and spend some time with him around 2am the night before he passed. On Wednesday 1/27/2021 @ 9:03am, my grandfather left us to be in heaven and thankfully is no longer suffering. 

   

   We were not prepared for this unexpectedly tragic loss. Even under his health conditions, my grandpa was a strong and resilient man. Sadly, this fight was bigger than him, but that didn’t stop him from fighting to the end. When God has a plan even the strong can’t change the outcome.

   

   We are eternally grateful to be apart of his life. He had such a big heart that impacted more people than we can imagine. He always gave, never expected anything in return. His love was so great that even with him gone we can feel it more than ever. He was truly loved by so many. 

    There are no words that can truly grasp how amazing he really was. I am forever grateful I had the honor of growing up with such an amazing father figure in my life! He is a true warrior!
