In loving memory of Josefina Villanueva

It is with great heartache that I even have to write this but here we go. My beautiful strong mother passed away July 16th after her heroic fight with her covid infection. I received a call from the hospital earlier that day informing me that she had to be put on a ventilator after the Bipap wasn't enough. Her blood pressure also dropped requiring a line to be inserted into the veins closer to her heart to help direct the medication safely into her system. Later that day they had called again letting me know that they're doing everything they can to help her and for us to pray for the best but expect misfortune. Not long after that call I was called again to go to the hospital as soon as I can. By the time my sister and I got there it was too late. Her heart had stopped and they could not get her back. My mom was a very sweet, kind and loving woman. She was a wonderful grandmother. She was selfless and would always help those in need. She was an avid donor to St. Jude's Children Hospital. She was loved by all her family and friends and her caring soul will live on within us in memory. She tirelessly helped support everyone else, above her own needs. She often expressed, that she didn't want to burden her family with the expense of a traditional burial. It's unfortunate that she was taken from us too soon, but would like to go forward with a site for her family, friends, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to pay their respects, and go visit her. This go fund me page has been set up to help us provide that opportunity for her. Lastly I would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support during these tough times. Es con gran dolor que incluso tengo que escribir esto, pero aquí vamos. Mi hermosa y fuerte madre falleció el 16 de julio después de su heroica pelea con su infección codiciosa. Ese día recibí una llamada del hospital informándome que tenía que ponerla en un respirador después de que Bipap no fuera suficiente. Su presión arterial también disminuyó, lo que requirió que se insertara una línea en las venas más cercanas a su corazón para ayudar a dirigir el medicamento de manera segura en su sistema. Más tarde ese día, volvieron a llamar para decirme que están haciendo todo lo posible para ayudarla y que oremos por lo mejor, pero que esperemos desgracia. No mucho después de esa llamada, me llamaron nuevamente para ir al hospital lo antes posible. Cuando mi hermana y yo llegamos allí, ya era demasiado tarde. Su corazón se había detenido y no podían recuperarla. Mi madre era una mujer muy dulce, amable y amorosa. Ella era una abuela maravillosa. Ella era desinteresada y siempre ayudaba a los necesitados. Fue donante ávido del Hospital de Niños St. Jude. Fue amada por toda su familia y amigos y su alma atenta vivirá en nosotros en la memoria. Estamos pidiendo ayuda para cubrir sus gastos de funeral. Hemos seleccionado un servicio de entierro tradicional y notificaremos a aquellos que deseen asistir tan pronto como obtengamos más información. Gracias a todos por todas sus oraciones por nuestra familia durante estos tiempos difíciles.
