In Loving Memory of Julio Campos

Our father went to be with the Lord October 17, 2018 He was loved by many and a friend to all who knew him. He will be missed by all. Our father was born April 10, 1962 in Pastor ortiz Michoacan Mexico to Elvira and Rodolfo Campos. He was the oldest of 10 kids who looked up to him as a second dad. He met and later married our mother Maria Elena and they made their way to the United states and settled in Los Angeles where he worked in roofing. They had their first three children, Julio, Cynthia and Gabriela. In 1995 he made the choice to move his family to Reedley, where the youngest child Yahira, was born. He worked many different jobs like roofing, construction and truck driving. He was a very skilled handy man and a hard worker who always provided for his family and enjoyed seeing them happy. Our Dad was a great man, he loved music, watching "el fut" and western movies. He had 3 grandchildren Devonna, Julian and Jade-Yvette who he loved with all his heart and loved being around them. He had the love of his life by his side and would always tell us how much he loved and respected our mother and would do anything to see her happy. October 17, will always have a bitter sweet feeling for us. His sudden departure left an emptiness in all of our hearts and we pray he finds the peace and rest he so deserves along side our Lord. He was a great role model and raised his children to be hardworking individuals. He always made sure to tell everyone that he was proud of his children and their accomplishments. Julio Campos, the oldest sibling started his career as a Hotshot with Horseshoe Meadow IHC in 2009 serving six years with Horseshoe Meadow. Julio then transferred over to Arrowhead IHC in 2015 and received his first permanent position as a Senior Firefighter and took on the responsibility of Saw Boss for the crew. We hired Julio and Brian Hughes in the same year, 2015, both serving their Arrowhead Rookie year together. Julio and Brian became brothers throughout the years while Brian served as a mentor to Julio. The tragic loss of Brian has impacted Julio greatly. Earlier this year, Arrowhead was on assignment, prepqqositioned in the Santa Monica Mountains NRA, when Julio received the news of his father passing on October 17th, 2018. Julio’s Dad, Julio Campos, Sr. was 56 years of age and passed too soon in life.
Julio has remained resilient through the passing of two very important men in his life, which all took place in such a short time. Julio now has the larger-than-life task of being the head of the household, as his mother was always working as a stay-at-home mom raising all his bothers and sisters. Please help support our family during this difficult time. God Bless, The Campos Family.
