In Loving Memory Of Justine Tate: Fund For Her Son

On March 21st, Justine Tate was taken to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was hospitalized for two weeks as she battled hard against the effects of Covid-19 and pneumonia. Throughout her time in the hospital, she was able communicate via video chat with various family members and friends. Her support system was with her every single day to share laughs, exchange stories, comfort her, and to let her know that she had a vast amount of people who loved and supported her. On the morning of April 7th, Justine passed way in the hospital leaving behind a multitude of family, friends, and colleagues who adored and loved her, including her 17 year-old son, Elias.

Justine Tate was the daughter of Ollie Tate and the late Johnny Tate. She was a loving sister to Charles Tate, Lynette Tate, Suzette Johnson, and a wonderful, caring mother to Elias Richardson. She touched every single person that she came into contact with and was the best friend of several women who cherished her. Justine was no doubt the life of the party wherever she went and no matter what she could make anyone smile and laugh. She was beautiful, caring, and an all around extraordinary person who lived life to the fullest with no regrets. To anyone who had the privilege of knowing her, she was truly an angel who walked among us for 52 years. Justine will be deeply missed and her joyous spirit, beautiful soul, and memory will live on within all of her family and friends. 

Justine Tate's son, Elias Richardson, is currently a senior in high school. He will be graduating June 3rd, 2021 and will attending college in the Fall of 2021. Elias is smart, funny, and embodies his mother's beautiful personality in so many ways. During this tragic time, we would like to raise funds for him as he takes on this next important step in his life, while grieving this devastating loss of his mother.
