We are heartbroken to share the news of the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved, Kao Nai. As we mourn this devastating loss, we are reaching out to you for support during this incredibly difficult time.

Kao Nai was incredibly loved by his family and friends. Through all the challenges he faced in his life, he still managed to not only smile, but make us smile. He never gave up on his dreams of one day opening a food truck and was finally saving up to make his dreams come true, he mocked up a business card with the name of his food truck 'Say Chow!'. Cooking was his passion, so much, that he was even creating meals with commissary items in jail! He loved his family and always found his way back no matter what. His smile will forever be ingrained in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

At this time, we are waiting for more information in order to move forward. We are working on arrangements to bring Kao Nai home from California to Oregon where he will be laid to rest with his family. As we make our way through this heartbreaking journey, we are faced with unexpected costs that we never could have anticipated. Your generous support will help lighten the financial burden of funeral expenses, transportation costs, and other unforeseen expenses during this challenging time. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us honor Kao Nai and offer some comfort to our grieving family.
