In Loving Memory of Karen Lynn Knisely

It is with deep Sadness, I Announce my mother's passing, Karen Knisely. She passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 19th, among close family members at her side. She suffered a long battle, an 18-year fight since diagnosed with PH- Pulmonary Hypertension, that presented her with a life full of many Ups and downs along the way. Struggling to catch a breath made it impossible to live an active and adventurous life virtually impossible. She has been a stronghold and support for others along the way who have also suffered her disease, mentoring and helping with knowledge in regard to the life-sustaining drug, preparing the medication that was delivered to our home weekly, used to treat her disease with the hopes to give her a sense of relief.
Through the years, she has lost many to the same disease, and with heartbreak, managed to keep pushing on with pride, and digity, and sharing her life to help others to remain strong through the process and had a great joy of giving back to the community and others in need. She would want others to remain strong and continue to fight for breakthrough options with this disease and not give up the chance to help others. She has always remained humble and knowing that her fight would help others.
Our family is asking for your support in this difficult time, share your support, as she requested Red and White Carnations, as many as can have at her Funeral, surrounded by serenity and peace, and in Rasing some money for her fight, and giving back to PH for their efforts to sustain the support for others, family and friends living and dying with PH. My mother was witty, caring, loving, stubborn with answers knowing this disease almost or as must as the doctors caring for her. She has put in many long days and years with books researching her disease, and spreading the knowledge to others, and ensuring that there were treatment options that would preserve the joy of life just a bit longer. with her passing, her fight still lives on and the support she has given will always remain in the heart of hearts.
Her service will be this Tuesday, April 26, in Roswell, and she will be laid to rest in Toledo Ohio, the following Friday, next to my dad who left us so long ago, and he has been waiting for her with open arms. As she makes this journey, please help me to give her the best sendoff that she could possibly have and while i am in need to make this happen, I need her to be proud of me, her son to keep her name, her experiences, and her journey an open book for those who need to hear her legacy.
I love you Mom, We Love you, and will miss you Greatly!
