In Loving Memory of Karl Meyer
Karl Meyer, 72, passed on June 3, 2021 in a sudden accident in the mountain community of New Remo outside Terrace, British Columbia in Canada. Karl passionately farmed for decades with his partner, Cindy Rice in Fanningbrook PEI. Karl is the son of Jesse and Margaret Meyer originally of Halifax, Massachusetts. He has three sisters, Louise, Susan and Andrea, four children, Gretel Meyer Odell, (Isaac Meyer Odell), Justin Meyer (Emily Suderman), Nick Meyer (Mika Meyer), Mark Meyer (Melissa Morin). His eight grandchildren are Tristan Meyer Odell, Phelan Meyer Odell, Jacob Suderman, Susanna Meyer, Ruby-Mei Meyer, Max Meyer, Maverick Meyer and Maddox Meyer. He loved every one of his family members profoundly. Karl was a farmer and a fire fighter, a goat herdsman, a sawyer and a woodworker, an innovator and a creator. Mostly Karl was a lover of living.
At the time of his death he was an active and beloved member of the Thornhill Fire Department.
In lieu of flowers, Karl would want you to reach out and help someone who needs it or call someone you love to check on them. If you wish to make a donation in his name, please use this link to support the East River Fire Company (Prince Edward Island). He was on call for his community day and night and always there to support his neighbours, friends, families and his firefighting, fishing and farming brothers and sisters. He was passionate about this organization and would be so pleased to see the station supported.
If you needed help you could always call on Karl Meyer. Now on call for the angels.
