In Loving Memory of Karolina Huebner-Makurat: A Lifeline for Two Young Daughters

Caroline was an innocent bystander who succumbed to her gunshot injuries as a result of a stray bullet at the corner of Queen St. East and Carlaw Ave. on Friday afternoon, July 7, 2023. At the time she was waking along Queen St. to pick up lunch. Gone too soon, she is survived by her two young daughters and her loving husband - all heartbroken by this senseless passing.

Caroline loved life and was instant friends with everyone she met. Her great sense of humour always lightened up all situations. She was a kind soul, always eager to lend a helping hand.

She was a shining light in the lives of her two beautiful daughters, aged 7 and 4. The sudden loss of their beloved mother has left these innocent young souls grappling with unimaginable grief and uncertainty about their future. Caroline was more than just a mother; she was a constant source of love, strength, and support for her girls. She worked tirelessly to provide them with a nurturing and stable environment, striving to give them the best opportunities in life. Now, it is our turn to rally together and ensure that Caroline's legacy of love continues to guide her precious daughters as they navigate this tragic chapter of their lives.

We have created this GoFundMe campaign to extend a helping hand to Caroline's family in their time of profound need. The funds raised will be dedicated to securing their emotional and psychological well-being, educational purposes and a cause near and dear to Caroline’s family.
