In loving memory of Ken Hixon
Donation protected
This past Sunday November 25, heaven gained another angel. Our dear friend and neighbor, Ken Hixon passed away unexpectedly leaving behind his beloved wife Debbie, two sons, Jay and Kenny and his 5 grandchildren. Ken passed peacefully in his sleep while visiting family in Indiana. Unfortunately his last breath couldn't be taken in his beloved home of Laurence Harbor where he was treasured by all his neighbors, and where he would always be found on a beautiful summer day doing what he loved most, crabbing, cooking and hosting bonfires.
At the age of 64, Ken was suffering from several medical issues. however, he never allowed that to dim his spirit or stop him from smiling and welcoming anyone that walked down his street and greet them with a smile. His heart was so big and caring that he even went as far as insuring that his body be donated to Rutgers RWJ Medical School. But unfortunately, due to the unexpected circumstances of his passing outside of the state, the University would not transfer his body back to New Jersey therefor leaving his immediate family unprepared to set any arrangements to transfer his body back home.
We would like to ask our family and friends to help us support Debbie and her family in giving Ken the good bye he deserves. Any donation given to help this loving family in this time of need will be greatly appreciated. Not only was Ken a great neighbor but an even more amazing friend and his presence will be truly missed by all those that were lucky enough to have known him.
