In Loving Memory of LaToya Hill
Donation protected
We are fundraising for the funeral and burial services for our beautiful friend, LaToya Hill "or some people call me Toy!" as she would say. She had a huge impact on many people through her guidance and encouragement as a personal trainer, as a friend and as a woman of Faith. This is our opportunity to give back to honor the amazing life she lived!
Obituary:
Toya Hill was born on March 28, 1964 in Chicago, IL. She was the second child of Hazel P. House, who preceded her in death in 2016.
Toya grew up very involved in the Church. She loved singing since she was very young. Her passion stayed with her into adulthood. She was a member of the Apostolic Church of God for nearly 15 years where she grew as a Psalmist. Her true gift was that of a beautiful voice. She was a member of the choir, recorded and wrote her own music. She was most recently a member of The Potter’s House where she was able to attend services virtually.
Toya worked for many years at Compsych as an insurance adjuster. She left Compsych to follow her passion and pursue a career change in fitness. Toya started working as an instructor at Women’s Workout World in 2009 after receiving her first certification and held various roles through 2022. Her beautiful, powerful voice carried over into her work as a fitness professional as she inspired and encouraged countless individuals through her energy and motivational instruction.
Toya believed in the importance of taking care of herself and empowering others to do the same. She loved singing and dancing, both of which she was very talented. She was a woman of faith her entire life and believed in the power of prayer through the very end.
After fighting a very tough battle, Toya entered paradise on August 27, 2022. She leaves to celebrate and cherish her memories: brother, Michael Hill; aunt, Dorris Allen; uncle, Raymond Pollock; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends.
