In Loving Memory of Lisa E. Wren

Lisa E. Wren was our Wife, our Mom, our Nana, and our Best friend. Lisa was loved by so many, her mother Barbara McCormick, and father Albert McCormick; who is deceased, her husband George Wren, her children Abigail Wren and Darren Wren; their significant others Greg Stevens and Brittney Raven, her grandchildren Gavin Wren, Grayson Stevens, Raven Giggey, Ryleigh Wren, Lisa’s brother’s Blaine, Barry, and Mike McCormick; their families, and many more friends and family. She had a huge heart and enjoyed taking care of her family and making sure everyone was fed, clothed and happy! Lisa loved going on long motorcycling and snowmobile rides with her husband George. She would be right on back just singing away, and grinning ear to ear! Lisa enjoyed going moose hunting, camping, relaxing by the water, bringing her grandson fishing and spending time with her two granddaughters, and watching her youngest grandson laugh and say nana for the first time, just being home with her family is what made her the happiest!
Lisa struggled with diabetes for 35 years which called for expensive monthly medications, many trips to the doctors, and several hospital visits. Even with all these stressful burdens and not feeling well most of the time, she still managed to always be happy, go lucky and always have a smile on her face. She would always be so tough and stay so positive, she’d say “oh, i’ll rest and get feeling better shortly.” She would have high and low sugars causing her to feel like she is going to pass out, sharp stabbing pains in her lower stomach from her kidneys failing and chest pains and arm aches that lasted sometimes up to 2 hours.
The last 4 months of Lisa’s life was a struggle to say the least. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance having severe chest pains that would not subside and felt like she couldn’t breath. When she arrived they told her she had covid so no one could come in with her and that she had had a heart attack. After running some tests the told her that she only has 6 months to live because the blockages in her heart were so bad. This was the worst news of our lives, no one wanted to believe it and it upset Lisa so; all she wanted was to be around to watch these grandbabies grow. After 4 days in the hospital Lisa pushed to get better to come home, on hospice, and would not take the doctor's opinion, that she only has 6 months to live, as an answer. “I want to be here for these grandbabies,” as Lisa would say. So Lisa went and got a different doctor’s opinion. That doctor was partnered with someone out of Boston and they thought they would be able to do an open heart surgery on her, so eager to get to Boston, Lisa got all registered for Boston and was told she had to do a stress test and then they could schedule the day coming right up for surgery. At that point she was waiting for her stress test a few days away, still struggling every day, 4 months after her last doctor's visit she started getting sharp pains in her lower stomach and feeling weak so she was rushed in by ambulance July 27th. She was told her kidneys were not working, her heart rate dropped and sadly she passed. She will be forever missed and her memories greatly remembered.
We cherish every moment we had with her and will continue to keep the memory of her going on forever. As we try to cope with this loss of our loved one, those of you that wish to donate in memory of Lisa the proceeds will go towards a small family burial, her urn and headstone, and any unexpected expenses. We appreciate all the love, support and help at this time; Lisa would appreciate it beyond words.
We thank everyone beyond words for all your support and help in advance! Much love from the family George, Abigail, Darren, Gavin Grayson, Raven, Ryleigh, and Brittney.
