In Loving Memory of Lylah Rae
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alex, and I was blessed to be Lylah’s GodMother.
Our sweet Lylah was a warrior— a CHD warrior, a fighter, and the sweetest little girl there was. CHD stands for Congenital Heart Defect. Nearly 1 in every 110 babies are born with some sort of heart defect. Despite all the challenges that came her way, Lylah never let CHD define her. Every day, she showed her mommy and daddy exactly how strong she really was. Every day, she exceeded all the doctors’ and nurses’ expectations beyond belief. All the while, continuously showing everyone around her how much love she still had to give.
Alyssa and Luke have been by their baby’s side for 10 months in the hospital, practically living there, since the day she was born. I was blessed to be able to watch and see the love they had for their girl long before she was even born. They took Lylah’s battles like their own day in and day out. There aren’t enough words to describe everything they did for Lylah every day. But not only did they do it, they never thought twice about fighting for her, whatever it took.
No one expects to go through the tragedy of losing their child, especially so soon. Alyssa lost her best friend, and all she wants to do now is make her proud and be an advocate for others who are going through what they have. Alyssa and Luke not only want to honor their baby the way she deserves and begin a fresh start after everything, they would also like to be able to give back to the other families in the hospital that helped and supported them during their 10 months there, and to the hospital for fighting to help so many other children like Lylah. We all appreciate any support, prayers, and love, also please understand and respect if the family is slow to reply during this time of grieving.
Always LylahStrong ♥️
