In Loving Memory of Marissa Vela

Our friend Victoria Vela recently lost her last living parent last week while in the company of her close college friends.

So with Vicky and her family’s blessings, our friends wanted to create a fundraising page for their mom to help the Vela family navigate through this very difficult time.

Message from the family:

“It is with broken hearts that we share that our beloved, Marissa Vela, passed away suddenly last week. Marissa lived a full life and her death was a devastating shock to her 5 children, 2 grandchildren, mother, siblings, cousins, aunts, extended family, and friends. She was hilarious and was the life of the party. She loved making her garden grow. She always wanted everyone to be happy, showed us how to work hard and persevere through anything.”

For those who would like to send abuloy (contributions), any amount raised will cover costs for funeral services, and the remaining will be donated to support mental health access in honor of Marissa Vela.
