In Loving Memory of Marta Martinez:Help Us Honor Her Legacy

Our family has started this Go Fund Me on behalf of my grandmother, Marta Martinez. I’m deeply saddened to share that my grandmother passed on August 29, 2024.

After a courageous four-year battle with stomach cancer, she left us peacefully, surrounded by the love she so generously gave throughout her life.

Marta was a strong, resilient, selfless, and devoted woman who dedicated 23 years of her life as a custodian with LAUSD. Upon her retirement, she was honored with a beautiful award recognizing her years of hard work and dedication to Sylmar High School. Her commitment to her job and her care for everyone around her were evident in everything she did. She was a pillar of strength and love for her family and friends.

She leaves behind four children and five grandchildren, each of whom will carry forward the values and love she instilled in us. As we navigate this difficult time, we are reaching out for support to help cover the funeral expenses. Our goal is to honor her memory with a dignified farewell that reflects the immense impact she had on all of us.
