In Loving Memory of Mary Olsson: Support Needed

It is with sadness that we write to inform you of the passing of Mary Olsson, who left us on November 12th, after a long fought battle with cancer.

Mary was fondly known as “Mayo” to most of those she kept close, and “mom” to just three very special people. She spent her last days surrounded by the love of her family and friends, passing away too soon, at the age of 66. Her fight against cancer and her departure has deeply impacted all who knew her, especially her children and adoring husband whom all stayed by her side until her final day.

As they navigate this difficult time, we are coming together to support them.

We are asking for donations to help cover the costs associated with Mary’s end of life care and funeral services. This will allow the Olssons, and rest of family to grieve without the added stress of financial burdens.

Any amount you can contribute will make a difference and be deeply appreciated. Your support during this difficult time means more than words can express.

Mary lived with an unmatched zest for life, and an appreciation of all things beautiful. She taught us all to slow down, look up at the sky, and notice the little things. If you were blessed enough to know her dearly, I’m sure you’re remembering her with the same infectious laugh and never ending offering of kind words.

This GoFundMe is in the name of her niece, Courtney (Morrissey) Castellano, but 100% of the donations will be going directly to the Olsson family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday Nov. 18th, at 10AM, St. Mary's Church | 1 Church Square Franklin, MA

Calling hours are Sunday Nov 17th from 2-5PM at the Oteri Funeral Home in Franklin.
