In Loving Memory of Matthew Moberg

It is with a heavy heart we have created this page to remember, cherish, and celebrate the life of Matthew Loren Moberg. For all of us that were so lucky to have known Matt and shared in his life such amazing moments and stories that we will never forget. Matt was such a loving, caring, hardworking, intelligent, and proud man!
If anyone were to ask Matt what he was most proud of in his life one might think it was his 5 years as a US Marine serving his country or his Master’s degree from East Carolina University but, in reality it was always his 2 daughters Rachel and Megan!! Matt loved his daughters more than life itself and seeing them follow in their father’s footsteps through their education was one of his proudest moments he shared with others. Matt had many titles in his life…Son, Husband, Father, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, and Colleague and with all of them we all saw the same smiling face looking back at us each day we shared with him.
Matt loved so many things from his love for his family, caring for animals, his continued education, his career and his closest friends he had made along the journey of life! Matt was always one to be an ear when you needed someone to listen and a guiding light when you might have not seen the light at the end of the tunnel and for that we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to have shared in his life!
We are creating this page to not only remember Matt but many of us know if he had 1 wish to leave us all with in his passing it would be that we all see to it that his daughters Rachel and Megan’s college education was covered. So, whether it’s $1 or $100 just remember that it’s not about the money here but rather it’s about being there for Matt and his family as he has been for each and everyone of us at one time or another! Please also feel free to share a short memory or story in the timeline below as we can continue to celebrate Matt and his life!!!
