In Loving Memory of Mia Papadopoulos

On April 11th, 2025, we lost a shining light in our community. Mia Papadopoulos passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, passion, and creativity. A cherished sommelier, chef, and businesswoman in the Okanagan Valley, Mia poured her heart into everything she did — whether she was curating the perfect wine pairing, crafting meals with artistry, or championing local producers with unwavering dedication.

But above all her accomplishments, Mia’s greatest joy and deepest love was her family, including her nephew, Jack.

Mia was more than an aunt — she was Jack’s biggest cheerleader, mentor, and second mother. She nurtured his dreams, celebrated his milestones, and offered unconditional love with her signature warmth and fierce loyalty. Her absence leaves a profound void in his life, one we can never fully fill — but we can honor her legacy by rallying around the one she loved most.

This GoFundMe has been created in Mia’s memory, with all proceeds going directly to support Jack. Whether it’s helping with his education, providing mental health support during this devastating time, or giving him access to the opportunities Mia would have wanted for him — your contribution will make a lasting impact.

We will also be hosting a Celebration of Life in Mia’s honor on Monday, April 28th, 2025, at Revelry Food + Music Hub in Kelowna from 3–6 PM. All who knew and loved Mia are welcome to join us in sharing memories, stories, and the vibrant spirit she brought to every room.
