In loving memory of Michael Andrew Levesque

This week a mother and father lost their son. We lost a brother, twin, cousin, grandson and great friend. This week our whole community lost someone who was so special, smart, kind, brilliant and generous(I can go on and on). We are all in disbelief, shock and denial about the reality and it all feels like a dream. A parents biggest nightmare is having to bury their child and my goal from this is to try to make sure it never happens to anyone else.

If you were blessed enough to ever get to meet Michael you knew he was different in his own way just like the rest of us. Michael was a "Go-Getter' and beyond ambitious. If he wanted something, nothing was going to stop him from getting it. I don't think he ever really had a plan on where his adventures would take him, but he would always find a way there and back, no matter what it took. Michael just went with the flow and lived day by day like how it should be. Sometimes Michael would just end up in places such as Florida, Maine, New York etc. and would just stay there for days, weeks, months at a time because these places just made him so happy. These were places he went to just get away, unwind and relax...and live. He always knew where he could find peace.

If you also had the opportunity to meet or even talk to Michael, you knew that he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it and wouldn't think twice. His kind, beautiful and caring soul always put others before himself. Thats just the kind of kid he was.

Michael loved life and everyone that he crossed paths with. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, glassblowing, art, animals and especially music and festivals. Over the years, Michael became extremely passionate about the Grateful Dead and music festivals. He would always find a way to one. You name it, I bet he's been there. I don't think he loved anything more than just attending one and just being able to be himself. Being a "self proclaimed hippie" these festivals were a safe haven for him. He loved every second of every one he attended. Michael was brilliant and loved to create art. It's like he had a photographic memory. He could just look at something and recreate it with his own little twist. No directions, no blueprints, no nothing and whatever he made would come out amazing. He taught himself how to glassblow and became very good very fast. He would create masterpieces and would give his art to family and friends. If you asked him for something, he was honored to make it for you. He lived for it.

On September 22, 2021 Michael left us too soon unexpectedly but peacefully. Michael is survived and will deeply be missed by his mother Diane Levesque, father Kenneth Levesque, step mother Tracy Levesque as well as his five siblings Kenny, Kristen, Greg, Jeff and Tim.

This GoFundMe has been created to help memorialize and celebrate Michael's life. Donations will be utilized to support community initiatives such as a park bench in his name potentially at Spec Pond located in Wilbraham where Michael spent several years attending their summer camp, playing football and baseball, as well as fishing and kayaking. Other considerations are donating to local animal shelters because Michael loved animals so much. We are also open to any additional suggestions to help benefit the community in his name.

Michael we love you and we miss you. I just wish your ticket wasn't pulled so soon. Until we meet again. Rest easy brother.

-Love Mom, Dad, Kenny, Kristen, Greg, Jeff, Tim, Tracy, Mako and friends
