In Loving Memory of Miri Tong

Miri Santo Tong passed away at the age of 37 on Friday Mar 29th, 2024 after being shot in an act of senseless violence in the Downtown Indianapolis Area.
Miri was a young mother to daughters Shania and Emoni, and soon to be grandmother to her eldest daughter, Emoni.
In loving memory of my dear sister Miri, whose life was tragically cut short by senseless gun violence. She was a bright soul, full of laughter and love, taken from us far too soon. She was the most selfless and loving sister, mother, and daughter. We are devastated by her loss and struggling to come to terms with the senselessness of her passing. Miri was a beacon of kindness and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her smile could light up the darkest room, and her laughter was infectious. She was preparing for her eldest daughter’s baby shower, but all plans were shattered by an unthinkable act of violence. As we mourn her loss, we are left with an overwhelming sense of injustice. No family should have to endure the pain of losing a loved one to gun violence. We refuse to let her death be in vain.
We are determined to honor her memory by advocating for change and working towards a future where senseless acts of violence are no longer a reality. But we cannot do this alone. We need your support to help us cover the expenses of her funeral and memorial service, and to support our family as we navigate this unimaginable loss. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in our lives as we grieve and begin to heal. Please join us in honoring the memory of our beloved Miri Tong and in standing up against gun violence. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no other family has to experience the pain that we are feeling. Thank you for your generosity, love, and support during this difficult time.
