In Loving Memory of Mr. C.

On April 17th, 2020 the soccer community lost one of the kindest, sweetest, caring and most loving people to grace our soccer fields. Rolando Chirinos (Mr. C.) was no stranger to the game of soccer and how the game should be played. Mr. C was not just a player, he was also a coach to many young athletes. He served as an assistant coach to Tony DiMaggio at Staten Island Technical H.S.  for over 15 years and then spent the last 10 years at Susan E. Wagner H. S. with Carleen Rago.  At Wagner he taught players how to better their game, respect the game, and he created love for the game like no other. He was a coach, a mentor, and a friend to every girl on the team. That love would travel back with him to his childhood home of Honduras where he would bring old soccer equipment  like cleats, balls and clothes, bringing  joy to the children of his town.
Let us continue Mr. C's generosity and good will towards others by raising money to help his family in their time of need and help to put our angel to rest.
Mr. C you will forever be in our hearts and and there will always be an empty seat on our sidelines.
