In Loving Memory of My Dad, Eduardo Cordova

It is with a broken heart that I share the sudden and unexpected passing of my beloved dad, Eduardo Cordova, who left us on Sunday, September 29th. My dad wasn’t just a husband, son, brother, or friend — he was the heart and soul of our family.

He was a man who lived with joy and kindness. He was always smiling, dancing, and ready to bring happiness to those around him. Whether it was at a party, where he was undoubtedly the life of it, or when someone came to him for advice, my dad always made sure to leave an impact. He had a special way of making people feel heard and understood, offering not just words of wisdom, but also comfort, love, and support. He was the best listener and always had heartfelt advice when we needed it most.

My dad’s love wasn’t just for his family and friends; his pets, Benji, Cece, and Mia, were also like his children. They were his loyal companions, and he cared for them with all his heart. He gave so much of himself to those he loved, and his absence leaves a void that will never be filled.

My dad was the sole provider for our family, and now we are facing not only the pain of losing him but also the financial burden that comes with it. My mom is currently unable to work, and without my dad’s support, we are struggling to cover the costs of his arrangements and to adjust to life without him.

This is why I’m reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing my dad for help. If you’re able to contribute, even a little, it would mean the world to us. We deeply appreciate any show of support as we navigate this incredibly painful and difficult time.

If you had the chance to know my dad, you know how much love and light he brought to everyone he met. And if you didn’t, I can tell you that he was an incredible man who cared deeply for his family and his community. We will miss him forever, but his spirit will live on in all of us.

En Memoria de Mi Papá, Eduardo Cordova

Con el corazón roto, comparto la noticia del repentino e inesperado fallecimiento de mi querido papá, Eduardo Cordova, quien nos dejó el domingo 29 de septiembre. Mi papá no solo era un esposo, hijo, hermano o amigo — él era el alma y corazón de nuestra familia.

Era un hombre que vivía con alegría y bondad. Siempre estaba sonriendo, bailando, y listo para hacer que todos a su alrededor se sintieran felices. Ya fuera en una fiesta, donde sin duda era el alma de ella, o cuando alguien acudía a él en busca de consejo, mi papá se aseguraba de dejar una huella. Tenía una manera especial de hacer que las personas se sintieran escuchadas y entendidas, ofreciendo no solo palabras de sabiduría, sino también consuelo, comprensión y amor. Era el mejor oyente y siempre tenía un consejo sincero cuando más lo necesitábamos.

El amor de mi papá no solo se limitaba a su familia y amigos; sus mascotas, Benji, Cece y Mia, también eran como hijos para él. Ellos eran sus compañeros fieles, y los cuidaba con todo su corazón. Dio tanto de sí mismo a los que amaba, y su ausencia deja un vacío que nunca se podrá llenar.

Mi papá era el principal proveedor de nuestra familia, y ahora estamos enfrentando no solo el dolor de haberlo perdido, sino también la carga financiera que conlleva. Mi mamá actualmente no puede trabajar, y sin el apoyo de mi papá, estamos luchando para cubrir los gastos de sus arreglos y para adaptarnos a una vida sin él.

Por eso, estoy recurriendo a amigos, familiares y a cualquier persona que tuvo el privilegio de conocer a mi papá para pedir ayuda. Si puedes contribuir, por más pequeño que sea, sería de gran ayuda para nosotros. Agradecemos profundamente cualquier muestra de apoyo mientras tratamos de superar este momento tan doloroso y difícil.

Si tuviste la suerte de conocer a mi papá, sabes cuánta luz y amor traía a todas las vidas que tocaba. Y si no llegaste a conocerlo, te puedo asegurar que fue un hombre increíble que siempre se preocupaba por su familia y su comunidad. Lo extrañaremos para siempre, pero su espíritu vivirá en todos nosotros.
