In loving memory of my dad, Hector O Martinez

It is with a heavy heart that I start this GoFund Me for my step-dad Hector Martinez. He was a cherished husband, father, stepdad, grandfather. If you knew my step-dad you’d agree that he was the most selfless, caring, humble man you’d ever known. He was the type of person that would literally give his last if you needed it. Over the last several years, he faced some challenges including his battle with colon cancer and losing his eyesight, through it all he never lost his faith and continued to be the strong-willed man I’ve always known. Three weeks ago, he presented to the hospital with a foot infection, things quickly turned for the worst, as the infection quickly spread throughout his blood stream. My step-dad fought a good fight, he was driven to get better and return to his family. Despite medical management and his drive to live, he lost his battle and passed away on 11/12
