In Loving Memory of Nancy Rosario

Our Mother, Nancy Rosario, was the funniest, silliest, most big hearted woman anyone could imagine- her personality was larger than life. She had the loudest most unapologetic laugh and she loved making people join in on her shameless laughter.

She was beloved by all who met her. Her magnetic charm and wit were contagious. She will be remembered by all as a woman who would dance salsa like no one was watching, sing salsa romantica at the top of her lungs no matter where she was, down a plate of pernil with arroz con guandules y una coca in seconds, and she never started her day without her cigarette and a coffee the way she liked it. (Light and Sweet)

On the morning of Sunday March 7th she went to be with her Lord and Savior. She left this world peacefully. In her sleep. Her big heart just stopped. She had given enough love and laughter to us here on the Earth.

She had a hard life. She battled Bi-polar Disorder since she was a young teenager. At some point in her life all 8 of her children were taken away from her by the state. Her youngest straight out of her arms went into the System. She fought long and hard to get her kids back. Never missed one court date unless she was hospitalized. But they still took her rights away from her. She made sure to see her kids as much as she could. Traveling from the Bronx to Brooklyn weekly. Always with a treat or a toy. She lived to see us smile.

Her kids were her pride and joy and she never wasted a minute not bragging about how beautiful they were. How smart they were. How talented they were. How successful they were. As if she was amazed that such powerful individuals could have come from her womb.

She wasn't perfect. But she tried her best. And what was perfect about her everyone should master. Her ability to love unconditionally.

We are laying our dear Mommy to rest this coming week in Philadelphia. We have the added challenge of navigating this already difficult time during the Covid-19 pandemic. We created this page for people who have asked how they can contribute. Any and all contributions to help offset the financial burden of laying her to rest will be greatly appreciated.

If there was anything we've learned from our Mother it is the value of quality time- filled with laughter. Please hold your loved ones close and make sure to make them laugh today. Do it for my Mom. Who loved to laugh.

Please Keep our family in your prayers during this trying time.

Many Thanks in Advance
