In Loving Memory of Nemanja Markovic

On June 20th 2021, Nemanja Markovic, age 47, tragically passed away in a mountaineering accident at Mount Fee, British Columbia.

Nemanja was born in Bosnia and spent his youth in Serbia before moving to Vancouver in 2001.

Nemanja pursued his passion for skiing, hiking, and mountaineering in the great outdoors of British Columbia. He was an active member of the Serbian community, playing soccer for FK Nikola Tesla, Vancouver Metro Soccer League, and volunteering at numerous events. Nemanja worked as a Senior Software Engineer 2, at Electronic Arts, a job he truly enjoyed and excelled in.

Most of all, Nemanja was a devoted husband to Duda and loving father to his two daughters, Angelina (17) and Sara (13). He loved spending time with his girls, taking them skiing and hiking, and was completely dedicated to fulfilling their every need and wish.

We will forever remember Nemanja for his big smile, open heart, and kindness towards everyone he met. He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, this fundraiser is being set up by Nemanja’s friends for his daughters' post-secondary education, and all proceeds will go towards helping to fund their schooling.
