I have been asked by a number of Nick's friends to create this GoFundMe, and I am overwhelmed by the offers to help.
Many of you know Nick as Fondybadger, and while you may never have actually met him, you were a big part of his life. The community he fostered online was just as important to him as his "real" friends. His personality was so big that it clearly came through his interactions online, and he was passionate about everything—whether he hated something or loved it.
He passed away suddenly on November 15, 2019, at the young age of 36. The doctor who attended him in the ER tried to bring him back for far longer than normal, but his pulse never came back strong enough. I was with him when he left; he was not alone.
Any funds will go towards his celebration of life event that I'm planning, because he'd want everyone to have fun in his memory. (Yes, there will be Sailor Jerry.) Your unexpected generosity is so, so appreciated, and I am so glad you all were in his life.
