In Loving Memory of Novelette Bailey

My name is Andre, and Novelette Bailey is the lone parent of me. On Sunday, December 25, 2022 (Christmas Day), Novelette Bailey of Hartford, Connecticut, unexpectedly passed away while traveling to work on Simsbury Road near Timberwood Road in West Hartford, CT as a result of someone else's negligence. Her catastrophic car accident injuries were caused by the collision. She is sadly no longer here with me, and although I am trying my best to stay strong, it's difficult, and I face many challenges. Miss Novelette was born in Kingston, Jamaica and was raised in Jamaica before migrating to the United States and settling in Bloomfield, CT for a short period of time before relocating to Hartford, CT where she had spent the previous 20 years. Additionally, her relocation to Hartford, CT she completed her education, earning her high school diploma. She then further pursued her education and became a certified CNA. Novelette was passionate about being a hairstylist in which she worked as a hairdresser at Passion Hair Salon, Xanadu Hair Salon, and most recently, First-Class Barber Shop & Hair Salon in Windsor, Connecticut. She has been providing geriatric care at McLean Living & Care Home in Simsbury, Connecticut, for the past four years, a job she has thoroughly enjoyed immensely. She was humble, kind, caring, loving, respectful, helpful and very hard-working. Even though I mourn my mother, I'm also looking for a method to get over the hurt, the pain, and adjusting to life without her which is very hard. Only God knows why my idol (mother) is gone and left me behind. She was my pride and my pillar of strength, but I will do everything in my power to get through this trying moment. Life will never be the same for me now that my mother is gone, and even though I make an effort to carry on, I feel so empty inside. My life will never be tge same and it's a struggle every day, not having my mother to comfort me when I need her. However, I will try to face the pain despite my tears, which I can't hide. My beloved mother was a queen, my role model, and she will be missed. The loss has caused unbearable pain for family members, co-workers, and friends. The family is currently in the process of arrangements for the funeral/memorial for Novelette Bailey, which also include a number of memorial events, are still being finalized. The fundraising is being done in order to cover funeral costs that are beyond my means. The intended use of the fundraising will be used for its designated purpose. My mom is, in every sense of word, a superhero!
