In Loving Memory of Ortance Robey

Donation protected
Ortance "Big Boot" Robey gained her wings on May 26, 2020 at Advent Health Hospital in Orlando Florida. Ortance Robey grew up in Frostproof FL where she had to learn what strength meant at a young age when she lost her mother. She went out of her way for anyone she came into contact with. She loved to cook, have fun and care for her family. Up to her passing she went through a rough time with her health but she still kept a smile on her face and it never stopped her from loving and providing for her family. When I say provided, she provided for her dad, siblings, children, grandchildren and her friends. Although she may not have had everything she wanted, she was happy with everything she needed and that was "Family" She loved unconditionally and went through whatever trials with a smile and a prayer. She leaves behind 6 children and 4 grandkids.

Words from Author:

My name is Jessica Santos and I met boot through my classmate Sherika Coleman in 2004. I knew her before we officially met and I always admired her smile. I used to ask myself, "Why is she so happy all the time even through poverty"? After meeting "Big Boot" we just clicked! She was the big sister I never had. The way she opened up her home to people and the depths she took to make sure that everyone was taken care of before herself took courage.  She had that because I couldn't even imagine being forced into poverty and yet she still managed to take care of what needed to be taken care of and still managed to keep a smile. Boot loved to cook and when she did she made sure she had enough for when her family and friends would come over. She was always humble and didn't let the devil steal her joy at times when he tried.

2020 has been one of the roughest times the world has seen. Death is all over. I lost my dear mother in February.  Boot wished she could of been there to comfort me during this time of pain and I knew it without a doubt. At this time she had been experiencing back and forth trips to the hospital. Her last couple of months on earth were spent in a hospital where she couldn't see her children or grandkids. I watched her fight an amazing fight. Even up to her last weeks she still managed to ask for help because she was the provider for her family. I even watched her ask for things her grandkids wanted. She was so very strong, loving, honest, real friend, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother.

The family is in need of our help to give her the proper service she deserves. She had a big family and has touched many lives. Please help me help them.

The money will be used for funeral services and monetary obligations left behind by Ortance Robey. Jacqueline Robey-Scarlett(sister) will be in charge of final expenses.
